TOMATO : Taste of Mathematical Observations
TOMATO (Taste of Mathematical Observation) is an initiative by the Department of Mathematics aimed at fostering academic excellence and critical thinking. This magazine encourages students to deepen their understanding through reading, writing, and logical analysis. We invite students to contribute original articles or reference pieces to share knowledge and inspire peers. Please submit your manuscripts via email to the Department of Mathematics to help us build a community focused on ethical pursuit of mathematical truth.
Published annually by the Department of Mathematics, TOMATO (Taste of Mathematical Observation) is more than a magazine; it is a yearly milestone in our academic journey. Each issue captures the intellectual growth, curiosity, and creative spirit of our student body over the past year. It serves as an enduring archive of our collective wisdom, offering a pause in our busy academic lives to appreciate the elegance of mathematical concepts and the profound moral lessons they teach us about truth, logic, and perseverance.
Submission Guidelines for TOMATO
The Department of Mathematics at M.B. Govt. P.G. College, Haldwani, cordially invites faculty members and committed students to submit their original articles for inclusion in the forthcoming January – June 2026 edition of its distinguished official magazine, TOMATO. Submissions are encouraged on a broad spectrum of engaging and diverse topics, including the rich history of number systems, significant Indian contributions to the field of mathematics, and recent groundbreaking advancements across various domains of study. The magazine also welcomes insightful biographies of notable mathematicians who have profoundly influenced our understanding of the discipline. Furthermore, we invite captivating book reviews, creative mathematical poetry, thought-provoking puzzles, and "Back to Basics" content that have been specifically designed to engage and inspire school students in a creative and intellectually enriching way. All articles must be meticulously prepared to not exceed 800 words in length, formatted in a standard 12-point font—Times New Roman for English submissions or Kruti Dev for Hindi entries—and submitted in both Word and PDF formats for convenient access and review. Authors are expected to include clear and informative headings, proper citations supported by a comprehensive bibliography, as well as a brief yet engaging 2–3 sentence biography that underscores their unique expertise and contributions to the field. Completed submissions should be thoughtfully emailed to tomatomagzine@gmail.com with the precise subject line "Article Submission: Your Name" by the critical deadline of May 2026 (05:00 PM IST). For any further inquiries or clarifications, Dr. Narendra Kumar Singh, an esteemed Assistant Professor, will serve as the primary contact and is more than willing to assist with any questions or guidance you may require throughout the submission process.
We invite all students to contribute their insightful articles to TOMATO Magazine to share knowledge, enhance personal learning, and inspire fellow students.
It gives me immense pleasure to address you through this vibrant new edition of TOMATO (Taste of Mathematical Observations).
