Published biannually by the Department of Mathematics, TOMATO (Taste of Mathematical Observation) represents not merely a magazine; it stands as a significant part of our academic endeavors. Each edition encapsulates the intellectual development, curiosity, and creative spirit of our student body throughout the previous year. It functions as a lasting archive of our collective insights, providing a moment of reflection in our hectic academic lives to appreciate the elegance of mathematical principles and the profound ethical lessons they impart regarding truth, logic, and perseverance.
Submission Guidelines for TOMATO
The Department of Mathematics at M.B. Govt. P.G. College, Haldwani, warmly invites learners to submit their original articles for consideration in the forthcoming January – June 2026 edition of its esteemed official magazine, TOMATO. Submissions may cover a wide array of diverse and fascinating topics, including the rich history of number systems, significant Indian contributions to the field of mathematics, recent groundbreaking advancements in various fields of study, as well as insightful biographies of notable mathematicians who have shaped our understanding of the subject. Additionally, the magazine is eager to welcome engaging book reviews, creative mathematical poetry, thought-provoking puzzles, and "Back to Basics" content that is specifically designed to captivate and engage school students in a creative and intellectually stimulating manner. All articles must be meticulously crafted to be under 800 words in length, formatted in a standard 12-point font—Times New Roman for English submissions or Kruti Dev for Hindi entries—and submitted only in MS Word format for ease of access and review. Authors are required to include clear and informative headings, proper citations accompanied by a comprehensive bibliography, and a brief yet engaging 2–3 sentence biography that highlights their unique experiences and contributions to the field. Completed submissions should be thoughtfully emailed to tomatomagazine@gmail.com with the precise subject line "Article Submission: Your Name" by the critical May 2026 deadline (05:00 PM IST).
